The Melissa's Hope Scholarship is available for students who are planning to pursue a career in the medical and health field. Prospective recipients must be enrolled in nursing or a medical trade school for the upcoming academic school year. Graduate students and medical school students are also welcome to apply. The scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $3,000. The application period opens on January 1st and closes on March 15th. Decisions will be announced via email by April 30th. Recipients will receive their scholarships and be honored at an award brunch.

2. The Pacers Foundation Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

-Must be enrolled in an undergraduate university program

-Must portray traits of integrity, leadership, and character

-Must be a citizen of the United States

The Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship is open to students who are currently enrolled in an Indiana based institution of higher learning. Students who have declared a major within a sports-related department such as physical therapy or athletic training are eligible to apply. The scholarship award of $2,500 will be granted to three recipients and can be used at any accredited university, junior college or community college located in Indiana. The application deadline is April 15th for the following year.

3. The Harris Foundation ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship

Eligibility

-Must identify as African-American or Hispanic

-Must be enrolled or accepted into a four-year university

-Must declare a degree within science, technology, mathematics or engineering

-Must obtain an unweighted grade point average of 3.0 or higher

-Must be a high school graduate (completed senior year)

-Must have noticeable academic achievement and leadership skills

-Must attend a school located within the Great City Schools district

The Harris Foundation ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship was created to invite and encourage minority identifying students to consider college degrees related to the sciences, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM). Former NASA astronaut Dr. Bernard Harris was the first African-American to venture into space. Up to four scholars can be selected for this award of $5,000. The scholarship will be paid to the university of choice for each recipient and will be credited toward the upcoming year's tuition costs. Applications for 2020 will open in January.

Eligibility

-Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher

The N.V.M Scholarship comes from a medical scholarship fund that is committed to providing future undergraduates with a financial boost as they pursue a major in a medical or biomedical field. The scholarship is available to graduating high school students who reside in Naugatuck Valley, Connecticut. Recipients will be notified via phone. Students must provide all the required materials and their test scores by April 1st.

5. The David Institute Davidson Fellows Scholarship

Eligibility

-Must be no older than 18 years old as of October 1st, 2020 (no minimum age)

-Must be a permanent U.S. citizen

-Must be available to attend the awards reception in September

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship applicants can receive an award based upon an astounding piece of work or project relating to STEM and humanities like literature, music, and philosophy. The deadline is February 12th, 2020 and recipients can receive awards of either $10,000, $25,000 or $50,000.

6. Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Osteopathic Medicine Scholarship Program

Eligibility

-Must be a citizen of the United States

-Must be a resident of the state of Kentucky

-Must practice in a qualifying field for at least one year in Kentucky

-Must repay the interest of the scholarship if the program is not completed

The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Osteopathic Medicine Scholarship is open to students who are pursuing a degree from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Pikeville. The award amount is derived from the difference in the tuition charge for in-state Kentucky medical schools and the amount charged at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. 7. The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin Raymond A. and Amelia P. Beilke Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

-Must be a high school senior graduating from Marathon High School

-Must have plans to attend or be accepted into a four year accredited college or university

-Must maintain a 3.0-grade point average on a 4.0 scale

The Raymond A. and Amelia P. Beilke Memorial Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are preparing to graduate and plan to pursue post-secondary education in STEM, pharmacy, nursing, and any other healthcare-related degrees and professions. The scholarship is recurring and can be renewed for up to four years. The Amelia P. Beilke Scholarship portion will be awarded to students who are pursuing health care and the Raymond A. Beilke Engineering Scholarship portion will be awarded to students who are pursuing a degree in the engineering field. Recipients will be announced at an award ceremony and will receive a letter describing the process of how to obtain the funding. Payment will go directly to the college or university of choice.

8. Albuquerque Community Foundation Woodcock Family Education Scholarship Program

Eligibility

-Must have strong skills in math and/or science

-Must plan to become a full-time student at a college or university

-Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0

-Must have an ACT composite of 30 or an SAT of 680

-Must have career goals related to math or science

-Must have a letter of reference from a math or science professor

The Woodcock Family Education Scholarship Program is open to students who prove exceptional skills and interest in math or science-related fields. High school students who are graduating from an Albuquerque metro area school are eligible to apply. Metro area schools include:

9. The Sachs Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility

-Must be currently enrolled or admitted to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine

-Must identify as Black or African American

-Must provide first two pages of a completed tax return

-Must provide a Student Aid Report (SAR)

-Must provide a letter of recommendation from an unrelated person

The Sachs Foundation Scholarship was created to provide opportunities for Black and African American students who are residents of the state of Colorado. This scholarship is available to assist students with achieving their dreams of pursuing higher education, especially those who represent underserved communities and demographics. Those who are of mixed racial background must provide evidence of predominantly Black or African American ethnicity. Applications are open from January 1st through March 15th. Recipients will be notified by May.

10. The Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

-Must be planning to attend a college or university in the state of Washington

-Must be planning to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student

-Must be a citizen of the United States

The Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in the state of Washington. Awards range from $500 to $2,000 and are renewable for up to four years. At least 40 students have the potential to be recipients of the scholarship. Previous recipients can renew their applications. The deadline to apply is March 1st. Recipients will be selected based on satisfactory credentials as well as a personal interview.

11. Catching the Dream

Eligibility

-Must identify as Native American

-Must be an enrolled member of a U.S. tribe that is federally recognized

-Must be enrolled in or attending a four-year university

-Must be attending an accredited university

The Catching the Dream scholarship is awarded for life. Students should still apply for other scholarships as the Catching the Dream award is supplemental. Awards will be dispersed competitively and notifications will be sent by mail. Submitted material should include a typed letter of recommendation, academic accomplishments such as test scores, honors, awards and grades, and leadership qualities. An essay explaining academic and career plans must be submitted as well. Students should freely talk about their service to Native Americans and fellow communities. This scholarship has three deadlines, one in the summertime which is March 16th, the second for the fall semester which is April 30th and the third for the spring semester which is September 15th.

12. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

-Must identify as Hispanic

-Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (high school)

-Must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (undergraduate students)

-Must have plans to enroll as a full-time student

-Must be

• A citizen of the U.S. or

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is open to all majors but there is an emphasis on STEM programs. Students who identify with Hispanic heritages that are seeking higher education degrees are welcome to apply. The scholarship is available to high school seniors, undergraduate students of any year, graduate students, and students who are members of community colleges and are planning to transfer into a four-year university. The award is merit-based and ranges anywhere from $500 to $5,000. Applications open on January 1st and close on February 15th.

13. The Maryland Higher Education Commission Graduate and Professional Scholarship Program

Eligibility

-Must be a resident of Maryland

-Must be enrolled at a four-year college or university as either part-time or full-time

-Must be enrolled at a Maryland based institution

-Must be pursuing a master's or professional degree

The Graduate and Professional Scholarship Program is available to students who are participating in a college of medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, social work, veterinary or nursing program at the graduate or professional level. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000. Students can renew their awards for up to eight semesters so long as eligibility requirements are maintained. Perspectives should apply through FAFSA and proceed to contact the financial aid office of the corresponding institution.

14. The National Federation of Republican Women National Pathfinder Scholarship

Eligibility

-Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree

-Must be an undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior

-Must identify as a woman

The National Pathfinder Scholarship is open to students who are in their second year of undergraduate studies or in their master's program. High school graduates and first-year undergraduate students are not eligible. Only one scholarship can be applied for each year. Three awards of $2,500 are distributed. The deadline to apply is June 1st. Winners of the scholarship cannot reapply.

15. The MGMA ACMPE Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

-Must be a member of MGMA

-Must be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate program within the medical practice management

-Must be participating in studies at an American university

The ACMPE Scholarship is open to students who are pursuing a degree in public health, business administration or healthcare administration as well as any other program that is relevant or related to these areas. Several additional scholarships are available and have award amounts of up to $5,000. Additional eligibility requirements must be met for other awards through MGMA.

16. The ADTHE Arkansas Health Education Grant(ARHEG)

Eligibility

-Must be a certified Arkansas resident

-Must be seeking professional training related degree

The Arkansas Health Education Grant is open to students who are pursuing studies in dentistry, medicine, chiropractic medicine, optometry, veterinary medicine and many more. This grant is competitive and awards are limited. A number of universities and colleges offer a range of grant award amounts based upon the school of study. Awards can be as much as $5,000.

17. Bethesda Auxiliary Scholarships

Eligibility

-Must be an active member of a Lutheran congregation

-Must be currently enrolled at a college or university

-Must be accepted into Seminary studies

-Must be committed to the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities

-Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Bethesda Auxiliary offers scholarships to undergraduate students who are in their final year of college and are planning to participate in seminary studies post-graduation. Five applicants will receive $3,000 in awards. University students who are juniors and seniors pursuing degrees related to serving people with intellectual disabilities will also receive an award of $3,000.

18. The Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation Tuition Scholarship Assistance Program

Eligibility

-Must be practicing osteopathic medicine in:

• Idaho
• Montana
• Oregon
• Washington

-Must be in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of studies

-Must be a medical student

The Foundation Tuition Scholarship Assistance Program is for medical students who are pursuing and practicing osteopathic medicine in the Northwest. Students should be planning to remain there once their residency program and fellowships are complete. The scholarship award will be paid directly to your institution. Applications for the 2020-2021 academic year open in March of 2020. Students should prepare essays, basic education information, and letters of recommendation.

19. The Association of Food & Drug Officials Scholarship Award

Eligibility

-Must demonstrate a desire to have a career in regulatory work

-Must be interested in a career related to food, drugs, and consumer products

-Must demonstrate leadership skills and capabilities

-Must attain a grade point average of 3.0 for the first two years of undergrad

-Must be a third-year student (junior)

The Scholarship Award is open to students who are in their junior year of undergraduate studies. Scholarship awards are $2,500 and are awarded annually. Official college transcripts and letters of recommendation from two faculty members should be submitted along with the application. The deadline for consideration is March 1st. Recipients will be presented with their awards at the AFDO Annual Educational Conference which takes place in June.

20. The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society Alliance Medical Education Scholarship(AMES)

Eligibility

-Must be a citizen of the United States

-Must be a resident of the state of Pennsylvania

-Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a Pennsylvania medical school

The Alliance Medical Education Scholarship is open to residents of the state of Pennsylvania. Students who are attending a medical school located in Pennsylvania are eligible to apply. Award amounts of $2,500 will be distributed to a select group of students. All applications must be submitted by February 29th. Applications open on January 1st. Students should be in their second or third year of medical school.

21. The Annie S. Alexander Scholarship

Eligibility

-Must be a senior graduating from high school

-Must be a traditional college student or an adult student

-Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0

-Must be a resident of North Carolina (Forsyth County)

The Annie S. Alexander Scholarship is awarded to students who are pursuing a full-time degree in nursing at an accredited university. While all students who fit the criteria are eligible to apply, African American students are given preference for this scholarship. Awards of $1,800 will be distributed to recipients. The award will go towards tuition, miscellaneous fees and/or room and board.

22. U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP)

Eligibility

-Must be enrolled in an accredited American university

-Must be pursuing a health-related program

-Must be a citizen of the U.S.

-Must be a full-time student

The Health Professions Scholarship provides full-tuition for four years and covers the cost of books, equipment, and other miscellaneous fees. Students will receive a $2,300+ stipend as well as a $20,000 bonus. Salary increases as ranks are accommodated. Studies related to dental, medical, psychiatric nursing and psychology are just a few of the eligible programs.

The Melanie Foundation awards recipients with a $2,500 scholarship. Those who are pursuing a doctoral or master's degree in mental health are eligible. Eligibility

The Vegetarian Resource Group College Scholarship is open to students who identify as vegans or vegetarians. The Science Ambassador Scholarship is open to everyone.
